Grandma’s Oatmeal Muffins

These delicious oatmeal muffins are a family favorite, especially on Sunday mornings before church. They’re easy to make and delicious with a generous lathering of creamy butter!


1 cup Quick Oats
1 cup milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup sugar
½ teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 well-beaten egg
½ cup oil (I use canola)
Soak oats in milk while mixing other ingredients. Add to remainder of ingredients.
Bake in muffin pan 20-25 minutes at 425° or until golden brown.
Yield: 1 dozen muffins
